Writing System Declarations in the TEI

This directory contains all the files referenced in the Research Note Test of TEI WSD interpretation which accompanies the paper Clothing the Emperor: Implementing Writing System Declarations in TEI Transformations by Cournane (TEI.10, Providence, RI, 1997).

• ISOheb.ent: Presumed contents of the ISO Hebrew character entity files (I had to make this up, as there doesn't appear to be such a thing available)
• catalog: SGML Open catalog with URLs for use by Synex-engine SGML browsers like Panorama or MultiDoc Pro accessing the text of the Research Note
• catalogue: SGML Open catalog with local filenames for parsing and validation using nsgmls or similar
• entityrc: Entity resource file for use with Synex-engine browsers
• iso88598.wsd: The TEI's Writing System Declaration for Hebrew (courtesy of Harry Gaylord and Michael Sperberg-McQueen)
• om.cat: Catalog file for Omnimark to process the WSD conversion
• wsd: UNIX sh script to drive Omnimark LE
• wsd.aux: Auxiliary file produced by LaTeX processing the document
• wsd.bbl: Formatted bibliography produced by BIBTeX an a byproduct of the conversion
• wsd.bib: Bibliography of the Research Note produced by the conversion into LaTeX
• wsd.dvi: DeVice-Independent typeset file produced by LaTeX
• wsd.ps: PostScript^TM printable version of the Research Note
• wsd.tex: LaTeX source of the Research Note produced by the conversion
• wsd.xom: The Omnimark program which converts the TEI source code into LaTeX
• wsdhebrew.add: The macros to implement the Hebrew characters, produced by the conversion program progessing the WSD
• wsdmods.dtd: Changes to the TEI to accommodate the use of the TEI for WSDs and writing the Research Note
• wsdmods.ent: Changes to the TEI to accommodate the use of the TEI for WSDs and writing the Research Note
• wsdtest.sgml: The master source of the Research Note (in TEI SGML)
